You get to do some of the household admin for free – and together we can soak up excess renewables from the grid. When energy demand is at its highest (usually around teatime), the network sometimes fires up expensive fossil fuel generators to keep up. Don’t schedule anything and save your Happy Hour for another weekend. If a slot’s full, it will be greyed out and you won’t be able to select it. On your online Saving Sessions dashboard, you’ll see your Power Down stamp light up once the session results are in (as long as you were successful).

• This means any Power Down sessions you do from Monday to Wednesday should count towards a Happy Hour that same weekend, but sessions from Thursday to Sunday won’t count til the weekend after.
• Please arrive in good time for bookings from 4.30pm and ensure you can unload your vehicle before the site closes.
• This includes waste that has originated from houses that are leased where it is the landlord or an appointed third party who is attempting to dispose of the waste.

Same day appointments are often available due to cancellations. If you change your tyres at home, tyre companies may charge a small fee to recycle them so it’s good to always check first. We do not cleanse these items after you have delivered it and are not responsible for any data held on them. Some items, like computers, televisions, mobile devices and other devices which connect to the internet, may be recycled or reused by our contractors. No, unfortunately staff will not be able to assist with carrying items.

Sometimes during weekends and school holidays we can get busy and you may have to queue to enter. Check if you will need a free permit before you travel to a waste and recycling centre. Other vehicle types are not allowed non gamstop slots to enter a waste and recycling centre at all. Please arrive in good time for bookings from 4.30pm and ensure you can unload your vehicle before the site closes. Before you book, check if there are items you can recycle at home. We reserve the right to cancel any multiple bookings made in a 7 day period.
